Army, being deployed in the Korean War from early 1952 until late 1953, when he was honorably discharged with three Bronze Stars. It was there he graduated high school, and met his future wife, Natalie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Natalie Shallenberger. Lawrence, who often went by Larry, was born in Oklahoma Borough PA, and raised in New Castle. Lawrence is survived by his two children, Curtis (Suzanne) Shallenberger of Beaver Falls, and Caryn (Will) McMarlin of Pittsburgh his grandchildren, Justin (Mindie), Kerry, and Colin (Sarah) McMarlin, Leah Shallenberger as well as his great- grandchildren, Elora, Natalie, and Danielle McMarlin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials the Bradford Woods Community Church. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Thursday, April 6 at 11am in Bradford Woods Community Church, 4836 Wexford Run Rd. Family and friends received Wednesday, April 5, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the George A. Age 93, of Bradford Woods on Tuesday Mawife of the late Ed Oppedal loving mother of Andrew Oppedal ( Rosalba) and Paul Oppedal (Merri) Sister of the late Robert Miller and Ruth Brutt Grandmother of Annel Sappington, Kari and Anders Oppedal great grandmother of Ever Sappington. They have shown ongoing love and support throughout the grieving process.
